TITANS (extract)

i. prelude 

Out of the darkness
 of the past
There is a legend
 oh yes

Titan walked
 on earth a god 
Who was a cat and
 no less

He loved a lady
 in a book
Which prophets took to 
 burning

even though
 he had the power
To stop the sun from 
 turning

ii. legend

(Well) People say that he has got nine lives
but he's a whole lot older than that

and when he walks 
on his planet paws
(then) its not obvious that he is a cat.

He walks around 
on a piece of ground
and they say that he doesn't look mean

But he can smile and he can chew up mice
and he can make your lawn turn green
